DEJA WILLIAMS IS WHO I AM: ACTRESS, MODEL & VOCALIST IS WHAT I DO!
So sorry I haven't updated my website - I've been soooo busy, I haven't had alot of time. This is what's been happening with me. I have dance rehearsal at a NYC dance company twice a week. I have vocal rehearsal with my FABULOUS vocal producer Nikita Tyree @NikitaTyree (on Twitter) and www.reverbnation.com/NikitaTyree . We have so much fun and she is really challenging me vocally. It's hard work, but I love it!!
So, I started my freshman year at Arts High in Newark, NJ (Tischa Campbell, Sarah Vaughn and Savion Glover- alumni). Dr. Forderhase is the music/vocal teacher. He is strict! But I really like him. I am learning Piano now. I have "Fur Elise" down, now I am working on "Ordinary People" by John Legend! I find that I am able to play by ear. My mother always comes running in the music/reading room (how they are both in the same room I dont understand, but anyway) screaming because she recognizes the song I'm playing. She is crazy! But I love her. Wait, so how about we ride the train together in the morning SMH - she has way to much "jollyness" going on for that early. LOLz. Here is my new "look" for highschool! Do you see the care that went into my dress. this of course are pics from 2 different days. the flowers were added because some crazy girl didnt want them for her dress. Lucky ME!!! I loved them.

I am so excited. I WON 1ST PLACE AT THE APOLLO THEATER!!! I sang "And I Am Telling You" - ala Jennifer Holiday! They didnt allow any photos to be taken or video taping. AND I just found out that there was a BIG mess-up by the videographer and there will be NO video. Not even for the Apollo Archives! I mean, even Lauryn Hill (who was booed (where they do that at) when she was 13 has her video on Youtube. So you will never ever see my "winning" performance. But here is a photo of what I wore that night!
Needless to say my mother IS NOT WELL!! Did I tell you my brother (now 23) won when he was 10 years old?! Yeah, thats when it came on TV with Steve Harvey... oh well ;-(
